OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS THE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF OUR BERRIES, SO WE UTILIZE THE BEST AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES AND ARE GLOBAL G.A.P CERTIFIED.
Our bountiful harvest (late March to early June) of Southern Highbush Blueberries are picked from the field and immediately taken to our 50˚ cooler.
• Berries are loaded into refrigerated trucks at 50˚ and transported 17 miles to our partner packing facility, Georgia Berry Packaging in Homerville, Georgia, and packed at 45˚.
• Packed fruit is forced cooled to 33-34˚. Superior Berries are stored and transported to retailer at 33-34˚.
• Temperature recorders are put in trucks to make sure that 33-34˚ temp is maintained until delivery to our retail partners.
It is our ongoing mission to be a “Superior” producer of safe, high-quality and great tasting blueberries and are currently on track to meet our growth expansion goals from 200 to 325 acres by end of 2020.
We grow many varieties of the Southern Highbush Blueberry - Meadowlark, Patricia, Kee Crisp, Indigo Crisp, Farthing and Legacy. Commonly eaten fresh, our blueberries are large and juicy with a thin skin.
Put 1/2 of your batter in, then add your berries in the middle and put remaining batter on top.
If adding frozen berries, gently fold in and bake immediately to avoid color leaching.
You can also coat your Superior Blueberry with flour before adding to batter.
